Anyone found 22mm baits stop the gulls when using a throwing stick?

When I used to fish a water at range with big baits..... no.

Either bait at night, or it was the old fire a bait out miles away from where you are, watch them all go for it, and then as many at the spot as poss before they came back trick!

There was a tip about a mile away, the other side of a hill, and I swear the gulls would hear the throwing sticks from there.

I once saw a seagull eat an apple whole. So no. 22mm is a light snack.

They will get them.

It won't be a solution. Bait up at night or use another manner, e.g. spombing

I've seen a lesser black backed gull swallow a whole pigeon .Gruesome.
Bait up after they've gone to roost or use a different method to a throwing stick.

Seagull picked up a tennis ball and flew to neighbours shed roof , called the wife to take a look as she was sceptical. It dropped it and picked it up a few times but unfortunately didn't swallow it.
