As I have posted before, we do not have a smart phone, yet it looks increasingly likely that the ability to download the NHS app (and others) in order to demonstrate our vaccination status, a Pay As You Go SIM seems to be the best option. We have no need for a smart phone as neither of us is the slightest bit interested in becoming a smart phone zombie. We both have bog standard phones, which we use to make calls - maybe 20 a year - and texts - only sent one text in my life! - but clearly these are not suitable for Apps etc. Anyone got experience of PAYG Android SIM-only? Any advice for this old git gratefully accepted.

Just buy any phone from £30 up and get a new sim from your provider that you already have and then you can keep your number and just slot the sim in the new phone
They will also set it up for you there and then

I am on a PAYG android phone and have a company phone so use both sims in the same phone
