Evening guys, I would really be interested to hear your perspectives and ideas as to what to do in the situation I Just found myself in. At 3 o'clock this afternoon, it wasn't happening in my swim so I went for a walk around the lake. Five pegs down I found a massive group of fish. They were rolling and Nutting out between 60 yards and 100 yards from the bank. The spot that everybody fishes in this peg is 100 yards to the left of the swim. So, what would your tactics have been? I have one more night left and have to be off by midday tomorrow. Interested to hear about baiting tactics as Wellers where you would put the rods. Would you have a lead about and risk scaring the fish off?

If there is nobody around I would fish a swim between the two, one 50 yds to your left, one 50 yds to your right 60 yds out and one 50 yds to your right 100 yds out
I guess you would be happy with one fish? If so, fish for one

With that many fish that active on the surface, got to be. Maybe try for one off the top as well.

What did you do? I presume it didn't work but worth noting what didn't work for next time you're in a similar situation.

I was hoping someone didn't ask that! I cast a lead out a few times to check the bottom in an area where they were showing and put a couple of ronnies on it. I then put 4 spods over the top. On this water you can get takes whilst spodding, happened a few times.
Having given it thought I'm convinced they were on a hatch, so zigs will be the way forward should the situation present....
