Can you mix different brands of crimps with a different brand of pliers or should crimps and pliers be the same brand

I have the Korda krimps and have used kordas own brand, wychwood and then some cheap pack off eBay. I wouldn't worry

I've used the Wychwood barrels for 15 years with a pair of modified pliers for most of that time I've had the Wychwood pliers for a few years wouldn't waste my money on anything Korda.

I have both and to be fair the Korda one is better built so worth ethe extra if you can find them as their usually out of stock.

Yeah, they've been out of stock for a while now. They restocked back at some point in the first lockdown, but am not sure if in stock atm

Yes

But ! IMHO the Wychwood plyers are far superior for the simple reason they kinda flair the ends and the way I tested ( of course I have Both Wychwood and Korda skits )
I make up several loops using the different types slowly filling large container with water till something fails with both types
And also jerking tests

Interesting. Are you using Wychwood crimps with their pliers, and Korda crimps with their pliers?

Using 25llb boom haven't bought pliers yet can you tell me what size crimps would I use are they in large a small or in mm taking your advice and getting the wychwood ones

Can use both Korda or Wychwood
And I use. 06 krimps for Boom 25lb
