So I've just had my ticket come up for this group of lakes in North Wales. Everything and everyone i've spoken to are all keeping their cards close to their chest and I can't squeeze alot of info out of them. Has anyone on here fished it and can enlighten me on the stock of the lake (size, qty etc.).

Not fished it but had a look round in the Autumn and it looks like a nice place to fish...

However, I've heard that it had a real issue with otters, nothing of any real size to go at. Very Shallow.

Worth a punt, but wouldn't get hopes up. I was thinking of joining but didn't in the end.

Let us know how you get on if you do join

its not fenced and can't be....the reason why he's getting offered a ticket is its been ottered ...you wouldn't get a ticket before hand...the committee won't tell you they will just take the money.

Thanks for all the information guys. Good to know about the otter situation, i did wonder for such a nice lake why there wasn't more anglers on it.

How long ago did they get in and did they wipe out a good chunk of the stock?

Fair point. Only recently moved to the area and everyone was I've talked to has said the same, shallow, silty, nice lake, the otter thing was news to me.

I did talk to their chairman and he said he's stocked it recently but obviouslt never mentioned the otters.

you pays ya money you takes ya chance...otters are all over it and if they've stocked it they're just throwing money down the drain.

Any clubs or lakes in the area worth joining? I'm a member at the trap in Buckley but want another challenge.
