I want to make some "match the hatch" pop ups of the home made Fish and Liver Boilies i've been making.
The Boilie Base Mix has LT94 (40%) and (5%) of CPSP 90 Pre-digested fishmeal and i also add a liquid liver hydroslate.
I have a supply of the BAF Pop Up Mix to use.
My question is can i add a percentage of Fishmeal to the Pop Up Mix without it affecting the buoyancy too negatively?
And if so how much or is this trial and error?
Or should i just stick to using liquid attractors with the Pop Up Mix?

Would cork ball pop ups not make more sense buddy?

As yonny says cork balls would be the way to go, and with a little practice are easy to make.
Btw boilies don't hatch.....

Thanks for your reply.
I had not considered cork balls to be honest.
Would you know which size cork balls i would need to end up with pop ups of around 12mm and 15mm or thereabouts?
Cheers

12 is good for 15s so I guess anything around 8-10 for the 12s.

Many thanks Yonny and Ian.
I will go with the cork ball idea.

There's a really good guide here if you've not done it before:

As others have said go with the corkball - I've done them with my fish mix. Just made a 1 egg mix of paste with slightly increased flavour levels. Made corkballs and then used the rest of the paste for hookbaits.

Sieve your basemix and use the resulting fine mix with pop up mix and cork granules.
I would suggest starting at 25% sieved base mix, 25% Cork granules, 40% pop up mix, 5% egg albumin and 5% Whey gel, but it is trial and error with each individual basemix. The resulting baits will be lighter than free offerings but I doubt you will notice any difference once they have been in the water side by side for 10 minutes.
Your liquids will affect the buoyancy especially the heavier hydroslates. I just stick to flavours to avoid issues.

All good stuff.

I have just made a 12 mm ultra buoyant pop up out of lt94, liver, glm, calanus. Subtle fishmeal smell...holds up a size 4 no problem at all
