Can anyone remember the Double Deckers,I can ,and on another Saturday show had Ali Bongo...

Simple times...the 70s were great to be a kid,and that was the time I learnt how to take my fathers Mitchell's apart,and 'improve'them ...lol,he never found out either...

Remember Ali Bongo not the double deckers tho. White horses always seemed to be on in the school holidays along with Casey Jones the train driver and the Banana Splits?. But tiswas was brilliant 👌

I used to like Tiswas as well,can also remember folly foot,..I heard the theme recently and I remember it like yesterday...

I also remember my Cornish gramps giving me a pen knife with special scales,it had everything, including a mini saw,which meant I had to have camps,and I was told,dont tell ye mother I gave it to you...ssshhh,imagine if that happened today..

I reckon I haven't changed,I still do all the things I did as kid,but on a bigger,but not better scale..

We had freedoms them days,I feel for the youngsters of today in a way,..


Also Thunderbirds,I remember that as well..Parker,and the pink lots of wheels Rolls Royce...


And Spangles,I'd love to try those again..

Catweazel,yeah..loved that...and ...Grange hill, I remember Grange hill as I'd won a set of Newark needle floats and unwrapped them ,from either the AT,or AM..cant remember,but I went up to the Royalty,with father,and caught a cracking barbell in the railway swim,the old record came from there by I think Joe Day,probably wrong though..and that was my gift..

I cam also remember all the controversy about swimfeeders,and how they were cheating,which was a big discussion tween father and uncles,they probably fell out over it ..lol..

Oh yeah,I dont know whether ought to say this but wtf,I never worked out til older why we always left at first light in the BBs,my naivety, thought it was cos the fishing was best early....mmmmmm,my old man !!

I definitely remember the double deckers and the theme song. Tiswas too. The phantom flan flinger and all that.

Black beauty, the old black and white Robinson Crusoe, Marc Bolan's tv show, then later on the Incredible Hulk with Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno (don't make me angry, you wouldn't like me when I'm angry) , Tom Baker as Doctor Who with k9, BJ and the Bear (my dad was a truck driver so I loved that one) - but I'm maybe straying into the 80's with those last ones...

We used to work with a lad and he was christened Bingo, looked like him with the big teeth, must be clocking on 50 now my old mate Bingo, still called Bingo by everybody, even today
