My son currently has 2 x 9ft rods which he is growing out of. So I'm looking for a pair of 11ft rods (not looking to spend a fortune) as I think 12ft would be too big. Any ideas or suggestions?

The also do the cfx range in 11ft. But I'd probably go with 10's only because getting rod bags to fit 11's is nigh on impossible.

Have a look at tfg compact commercial 10 ft 2.5 lb nice through action. I bought one for my surface fishing but after using bought a couple more. It's ideal for what I use it for, it's light at 200 grams, casts a lightish bait very nicely, plays fish well and certainly much better than its price suggests.
Something that tfg has got right.

Yep they are very good rods for the money but seems like TF Gear have discontinued them now

The tfg compact carp 10ft 2.5lb tc is without a doubt a brilliant rod.
Forget that its only £40 inc delivery, you'd happily pay £100+ for it. Still on ebay.
I have gushed about these rods many times in many threads, have a look at previous threads about 10ft rods for my lengthy jizzing over these rods.

Don't see any need for upgrade only for length. Use my 9ft stalkers most of the time.

Think I agree, if you're happy with the 9 footers, keep em until he's big enough for 12' rods. My lad progressed to 12' rods when he was 13.

i have the chub 11foot smallwater rods they are 2,25 tc and ideal for a small water, i use them all the time on a small lake i fish but too soft for longer distance work. highly recommend build quality too if they suit.
