Evening all has anyone used buffalo clothing and would you recommend it?
Particularly interested in the special 6 trousers and the pile parka with polo therm lining

I have a Buffalo sleeping bag, not ideal as a fishing bag, but good quality. I also have a couple of pile and pertex jumpers by another manufacturer, but very similar to the Buffalo shirts, wouldn't be without them for winters and cold mornings etc. Be careful around stoves though, I put a hole in one of mine off the car exhaust. The pertex does not like heat or naked flames.

I use the belay jacket and sallopettes... Very comfy don't feel hindered in them at all... The jacket is not a winter jacket to sit in all day motion less.. Pertfect for mooching about in, best spring autumn jacket I've ever used... I use it all winter but layer up with one base layer and a Sherpa fleece... Does me fine.. Not as warm as a snugpak for sitting about in though..
can't comment on the trousers.. Sallpettes are lovely though even next to the skin...

had a buffalo shirt for years now, worn with just a base layer. not warm enough though for this time of year without a jacket if sat about

try NOT !!!!!!!! using the base layer
as Im sure its meant to be worn directly next the skin and a snug fit ! I have the Snugpak version and its supposed to be not as good ? and thats how I wear mine never ever been cold wearing it

I've one of their shirts and a pair of the semi thermal windproof trousers. Quality, well made and it appears durable.
#2 I'm in the market for a pair after the snugpak ones became irresistible to a mouse in that cold snap. I'll have a look at those

My understanding is that the buffalo is waterproof and warm !!

Correct. Definitely wear it next to your skin. I've got the shirt and salopettes and theybare great. Had them years and they still look like new. Very warm and comfy.

I have the Buffalo Parka and it is a superb jacket but not as warm as my Snugpak FJ6.

Fortis have just done a new jacket,not sure what rating it has got.Arktis outdoor are nice and warm,I have got their mammoth shirt

The buffalo jacket will be much better if used for what it's designed for - being on the move.
The fortis jacket will be much better at keeping you warm whilst sat on your arse

Just too feedback, items arrived yesterday and are very well made the special 6 trousers are fantastic but were too small so they are in classifieds if anyone is after a bargain at close to 50% off
The parka is very nice thick pile and a lot longer and more forgiving than my sj9 interms of bulk and I love the sallopettes very well made lots of adjustments with the zips and the crotch zip is genius
