Any recommendations? Currently using braid cos the spools looked too small to me for 0.35 (lake rule). But would like to go back to mono. Is 0.35 asking for trouble on these reels or not? Must sink well, not casting big distances. Cheers

Korda Kontour 15lb FC. Sinks well, no problem with my 2600 spools

15lb Korda Touchdown in my local shop so bought that. I also meant to add low stretch as important so looks ideal. Thanks all

Pb control in 24lb would fit the bill sinks really well and casts really well.

Not a mono but I'd go 12lb Kontour slightly thinner than .35 but stronger than most .35 monos and nobody's gonna measure your line diameter.

Pb control for me too..but any line will build up memory on a smaller diameter spool such as 2600. I do own these too.

12lb kontour is 0.31 and nowhere near as strong as most 0.35 monos.

15lb touchdown is .40mm the 12lb is .35mm

I use 15lb Gardner gt hd on my ss2600 for small waters /canals and it's been faultless behaves as it should no issues 👍

I use 12lb Synchro XT on my Barbel set up (Shimano Aero GT 5010's) and it behaves fine (spools are prob narrower than SS2600) . . .0.33 though - would you get away with that . . .?
