So I thought I would treat myself to some new stainless and have been stuck whether to go with Solar or the Steve Neville range. I do like the old look of the nev stuff plus the fact the tightening screw is a lever. I have used Solar for the past 10 years but none of the new anti twist stuff. Does it actually not twist? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Take a look at the titanium range from Defiant MPS. All the benefits of stainless but a bit of a saving on weight. I'm a sucker for a Neville swan neck so use them with the MPS back sticks

I think I'd pay it. To be honest thinking about it I'd rather their black aluminium in a worldwide flavour

A titanium WW at £1000 or £100 a year for 10 years would still be value for money when people are paying £800 for a Bivvy that might last a decade.

My power plus cost me £150 it's 20 yeas old and will last another 20. So all relative. I'd defo bit a titanium WW.

A lot of my kit are heirlooms probably get sold for peanuts 😫

I purchased a record player cartridge 25 years ago at £400 happy to buy the Mk 4 at £1300 will see me out just hope I've another 25 years in me. I'll get £400 trade in on my old one. One could look at it as free.

Buy good at the time and when your done you can sell it and get your money back. It's like buying gold or real-estate you rarely loose out if you can weather the stormy times
