Hi I'm after a set of 9ft rods to fish my local small club lake and was fairly sold on the soniks but I've just seen the ngt rods and apart from the line clip they look almost identical.
Can anybody tell me if they are similar as the ngts look great value and will save me a few quid.

Is there a real 'need' for an extendable. I wonder if they are a bit of a fsshion thing.
Plenty of good 9-10ft rods that will be as good and last linger as many of these extenders will wear ar the sleeve/joint and then come apart.

The extractors have been around for a while now and not really heard any bad things said about them but I could see that eventually they could wear and become useless.
They wouldn't be my main rods thou and still think they could be useful for me and have wanted some for years.
Saying that the company who are doing an offer on these are completely ignoring my messages and aren't filling me with confidence.
Has anybody had any dealings with qfished in Wales before?
I know things are messed up at the moment but 3 messages about a potential order and no replys.
Think I need to look elsewhere

I have definitely read about a few cases were some grit has got in between the inner and outer and soon the inner is no longer held tight and pulls straight out of the outer section.
The taper on both sectons is very fine, almost parallel, so there isnt much allowance for wear.

I've got one. I already had 2 soniks and wanted a 3rd rod so went for the NGT. Virtually identical I'd say only real thing is the butt ring is slightly larger than the Sonik.

My order from qfished went smoothly, good price and quick delivery but that was a year or so ago and I didn't ask any questions so I couldn't say how good they are at communication.
If you really need the shorter pack down size then perhaps that type of rod is worth considering, but even without the wear problem, personally I would never be happy with a joint at the highest loaded part of a rod.

There communication is terrible I've sent them 5 messages about an order I want to place and not a single reply.
If that's how they treat people wanting to spend money then I can't imagine any after service being any good

I tried to contact them a few weeks back but had no response. I just ordered straight off the site and it came within a couple of days.
