I've got 3 new Daiwa Emcast 25A that have never seen the bank, what I want to know is there anyone using these and your thoughts on these reels good or bad as I'm not sure what I'm going to do with them as I originally planned for them to replace my old Shimano bait runners but now I'm not sure if I should keep them and use them as planned or sell them.

If it's the Emblem BR 25A I had four of them but only got two now as a mate pestered me for a pair of them, I kept two on some 11ft 3lb ballistas he had two off me for his 10' 3lb ESP stalkers, although I think they would still be suitable for a barbel rods or a similar small water setup some light 12' 2/2.5lb rods that sort of thing, I have too many rods and reels having a clear out soon but I shall keep these as they are nicely balanced with the rods I have them on.
If it's them I cannot believe how much they have gone up in price I bought them when they first came out picked four up up for £340 you'd be lucky to just about get two for that price now.

I had two Emcast, were ok for reels at about £50 each.
But I had issues with the line constantly going behind the spool and they caused huge line twists when playing fish off the clutch.

I have a pair of Emblem BR 25A reels.
In use they are equal to the Castizm BR 25A which I also have but cost twice the price.
I'd be keeping them, me, but I hoard reels.....and rods...and nets...and luggage...and bivvys....

Sorry!!! Yes they are the emcast , they are the ones I have got NOT Emblem. Don't know how I got that wrong it just sums up my c**p day.
