Bought some of this to make some spring high viz pop ups.

Upon boiling, the bright yellow colour completely disappeared and the baits went an extremely dull orange colour. Anyone else had this, a complete waste of £4!

The dye basically came out the base mix within 30 seconds, I was using Polaris. They say to boil for 3-4 minutes so I'm very confused. Never had this problem with the ccmoore dyes so it's quite bizarre!

Because I couldnt find any of their orange dye anywhere

EDIT: just seen ccmoore have stock now.

Will bin the mainline

I don't even bother with Mainline for base mix now. British Aqua feeds do pre dyed pop up and wafter mixes and various fluoro dyes that don't bleed out at the boiling stage

I've never had a problem with the Mainline dyes to be honest.
In fact for hook baits i tend not to put too much in and the colour certainly doesn't boil out.
The yellow seems to come out as an egg yolk colour rather than a bright yellow.

Same for me, the dye is one of the mainline things that is pretty decent, never had it boil out so much it was noticeable.
