Hi all anyone using a baiting pole at the moment with any success?

Not been out since the start of December but was using mine exclusively up until then, if I had continued I would still be using it as a number of fish were using a treeline within a rod length from the bank, been very effective for me.

I've used more or less all of them over the years to various degrees, from the original bt poles, angling intelligence, more recently the tackle box telescopic, but I've since got a bash bushwhacker, find it very very hard to beat, soo much more adaptable than the rest.

Started just using a 2m and 3m landing net handle with a Tackle Box spoon, upgraded this season to a 12m Tackle Box telescopic pole, it's been great for the places I fish. Still use the 3m one the most.

Made my own following the advice of others on here using conduit pipe etc. Google 'Baiting Pole Carpforum' and you'll find lots of help there.
However, if I had to buy one it would be the bushwhacker with extensions to 30m.

The Nash one at circa £175, would it be cheaper to buy a 2nd hand or cheaper possibly low end match fishing 15m pole and cup?

Problem with that is your limited to 15m, sometimes that isn't enough. With the nash one the possibilities are endless. Quiet an edge on high pressure low stock lakes when you want to keep noise and disturbance to a minimum.

Have been looking at these all day I decided to go for the Nash one. Have initially just gone for the 15m base package as it is more than enough distance for what I need. Will purchase the extensions further down the line if and when I require them. Thanks all for the suggestions.

Yep, but only screwing a cup onto the end of a cheap extending landing net pole - to get baits under trees. Big edge for me on a ew waters I have fished in recent years that. Else - what's wrong with a spomb or catty? LOL. I saw some idiot a few weeks back using one the length of a fire engine - to place baits into open water - I won't even go there... they have their uses I guess, but most of us manage just fine without them. Like I said, for short range work to get baits under trees, yep
