I have just had to cancel a weeks fishing trip and am unable to fish again for at least 6-8weeks, I d bought a few litres of Calanus and a few other baitsoak/glugs, am wondering if I can freeze any of them, or will they keep in the firdge at a low temp? All help gratefully accepted.

I wouldn't bother putting them in a freezer. I keep all my liquids in a bait fridge in the shed but to be fair they will probably keep without putting them in a fridge. Personally I would put the calanus liquid in the fridge and wouldn't bother with the glugs as there most probably glycerin based which will keep any way

Thanks Deanmo, I also have a bait fridge, set at its coldest without freezing, I was mostly concerned about the expensive liquids like calanus and Liver etc, Ive not opened any of them, so hopefully your right and they'll keep until I go next, probably in 8 weeks time.

They will be fine, they keep for months as long as stored in a dark cool place

Calanus will keep for minimum two years unopened in room temperature, at least in the original 25 litres.

Thanks keeperboy, yeah all the reports Ive read all say its brilliant stuff, plus its 100% sustainable and it contains a wicked amino acid profile, cant wait to use it, probably as a bait soak.

It will last a long time in the fridge when opened. I have used it for 5 years or so. Good stuff.
