Can anyone give me an honest review of any of the Greys Marker and Spod Rods? and which ones would be recommended

Crap. I've got the GT and ASM (think it's called that.) Both rods suck as they have single legs near the tip which have a habit getting bent.
Eyes have fallen out numerous times. Both rods have eyes glued back in. I've got a custom Trebuchet spod ordered up. Learnt the hard way, don't buy cheap Chinese tat.

No I've not used one. Like many of us, there's little to no opportunity to try rods out.
I've got Treb lites, so I'm sure it'll work out.

The 13ft Trebuchet Spod rod is meant to be pretty user friendly so i am sure you will be fine.
Like you i have 13 ft Trebuchet Lights and really like them for distance work and am very tempted by having a 13ft Trebuchet Spod rod made to match by Cotswold Rods.
But i still find my Fox 13ft XT Spod Rod does the job well and can cast a spod a very long way.
The 13ft Trebuchet Spod rod is meant to be pretty user friendly so i am sure you will be fine.

Hi. I have the original greys marker and spod Used them for years and found them very good up to 80 yards. I was so impressed I bought the distance marker and spod rods Used them once and sold them. They were like broom handles - Currently using the rod Hutchinson marker and spod rods. For £80 they are excellent

The treb spod is not supposed to be user friendly mate, it's a monster and hard work to use. The 13ft aviator spod is the one if you like the usability of the treb light carp rods.

I can't see the treb spod being less user friendly than the fox xt spod, great for big distances but really hard work for general use.
I've been happy with my greys spod, no problems with rings (the threads re crack offs might explain ring damage) although I think I bought mine around 2009, can't comment on any versions since then
I prefer single leg rings through the tip section too, I don't want the extra weight of doubles, that'll make most rods feel tip heavy

Tackle box own CF-X models start at about £130. Got one, lovely rod to use. Good accuracy and plenty of range.
