Hi sorry In advanced that this has been ask numerous times but I can't find anything recent. I'm after booking a day ticket water for a weeks fishing April/may time with 2 of my mates. We want somewhere we can book in advance so we know we have a peg. Fish size is not important but the chance of a decent fish would be nice. We are in South Yorkshire and willing to travel 2-3 hours for a good lake.

Think there's quite a few in Lincolnshire which is close to you. Do a search on google. For three people, you should be ale to get a lake exclusive booking. Like Barley Pool at Whelfords Pool in the Cotswolds, can book exclusively for £90/night and there's a basic accommodation thrown in with that. That may be a bit too far, but there will be a few places like this I'd have thought.

Any idea how much Birch Grove is mate, it doesn't say on their website.

Some good suggestions there thanks I would never have found them on the web. I will be in contact with a couple of them lakes to check availability but I think birch grove looks ideal for a good social

You also have Dawford Pool in Shropshire. New lake, Simon Crow has done a piece on it and was in Carpology a few months back. Not been myself but looks nice and ideal for some quiet fishing away from the hustle and bustle

About 3 years ago birchgrove was 680. Birchgrove though u always need 2 fishing the board's swim sharing the runs in my opinion
