The bloke has put a lot of effort into his site, so to just tell him to **** off is bang out of order. Self promotion or not, that response ain't needed.

Thanks for the kind words guys! It's not surprising to get such comments here and there, although I thought this forum was above some of the FB groups' standards...well, you can't please everybody on the internet, that's a fact!
I actually do not check responses all that much (although when I do, 95% of them are highly positive, which is always nice to read), as I get most of my traffic (reads) from Google searches.
And yes, it's a degree of self-promotion in my sharing this article here, but I tend to only post informational content in forums like this one. I write a lot of gear and product-focused articles too, but would never share one of these in here, it's just not called for! I hope these kinds of articles are okay to share!
