Hi. Im thinking about a winter attractor bait based along the lines of a single flavour and poss a sweetener.. simple, uncomplicated but effective.. fished as a single with maybe a v small mesh bag of micro pellet.
Going to be used on a fairly well stocked water ( average depth 15ft with low viz) that gets minimal carping attention from Nov onwards. I have fished it on and off during the year and caught on various flavour baits..peach and pepper/krill/squid+octo. Other lads use things like CC moore Live etc. Real mish mash of baits going in and they all work with nothing much better than another..
Previous winters have seen the odd fish caught from the same areas,so I have a starting point for that at least!

Unsure if my idea is worth a go or whether to stick with something like Manilla ( like the idea of hookbait kit as I can roll as a bottom bait but either pop up or balance out if needed with foam core)

Any other suggestions welcome. Cheers

Any red fruit ethanol alcohol flavour with a essential oil on a base that isn't locked up i like a Birdfood milk whey base or for a pop up i like milk protein but there loads of different mixes out there seen the mainline polaris which isn't a milk no more i do belive do very well in winter as open texture but can be more difficult to roll than a milk. Early spring found really spicey flavours do well

Why not get a bit of bait in on the previous winter areas? Might be able to keep something going through the winter?
On the bait front carry on with whats been working for you.
Are you sure?
