I started using it a couple years ago after being a long term lover of x line. I really like the cf600 and it's as good as if not a little better than x line.
Heads up, check the Berkley site for breaking strain v diameter as it seems here in the uk gets far thicker line for a strain than euro versions (like technium black if you're aware of that story!)
Uk version shows something like thickness of xxlb and a diameter. Euro version shows something far lower diameter for equivalent kg strain.

I used it in 15 and found the knot strength to be terrrible. Grinner, palomar, figure 8, they all gave way far too easily.

Same with the 12lb. Was so brittle and snapped under very little pressure. Sent it back and got a refund - would never trust it again

Brittle seems a very strange thing to say about it, I've used most flouro at some time and found cf600 which I've used in three different strains to be the limpest of them all.

I used it and found it very user friendly. Unfortunately I found its abrasion absolutely terrible and got cut off on a number of waters. Took it off and suffered no more. I wouldn't advise it at all. I'm on x-line (20lb) now and finding it really hard to use even after stretching and spin doctor. Time will tell.

Give it a good stretch and plenty of casting I've had mine on 10 years just about it to change over only problem with xline is it takes ages to behave,

Perhaps I had a bad batch. I'm merely telling the op my personal experience of the line. I send what was left of the spool back to the shop I bought it from and had a refund within 24 hours.

I've used it in 12 and 15lb find it a decent line to be fair.

Used x line a long time ago it was fine
Also mirage on 100m spools again this was fine
Now use cf600 in 12lb as I comes in a big spool and is reasonably priced
And the diameter works for me
I find the higher diameter stuff in any brand a pain to fish with

Always used xline in 15 so started on the Berkley in 15 too and get on really well with it. Just had 18lb uk labelled line as couldn't get 15 at a sensible price. 18lb uk labelled cf600 is .40 diameter...... Look on Berkley website and it says this should be 27lb bs!!!!!
It honestly was like trying to cast wire, fortunately a lot of my fishing was 150 yards+ so boating mostly.
I will be re spooling with euro labelled cf in the new year once stocks are easier to find

Yeah cheers. I do stretch it and then it's great for 1 session, then it goes back to it original wirery state. I will continue to stretch it and use it because it does sink fantastically. I've also brought some Gardner fluoro treatment (which I'm not expecting anything from to be honest) but thought it can't harm for £6.50.

15.5lb is listed as 0.30 on the UK site.
22lb is 0.34
i will line makers would stick to one way of measuring and rating line across all markets
i might give some fluro a go this year (being a die hard standard mono user, big game sensor etc)
