Had an original Fox evo for 15 years which did me proud. It died a few years ago, so i'm not looking for a good day shelter. The fox one was good but was more over nighters. Now I don't do those I'm after something that's quick to put up really. Was hoping for a 50-55” oval but they don't seem to make them anymore. What do you guys recommend? Thanks

I've just retired my oval profile and bought a Trakker V2 brolly. Very quick to erect and gives good coverage, can be upgraded with add ons if I feel the need. Maybe a bit low for some, but suits me fine. Very impressed so far.

Don't like any of the Korum options looked at them all. V2 brolly is a possibility. Also toyed with a low pro etc. Wish i'd never sold my old nash slippery eel brolly would of been perfect.

What a coincidence , I also used the Fos Evo for my fishing.
A Evo bivvy between 2002 en 2018.
Also used the Evo Brolly for years that I bought second hand
My Evo was still functional but after 16(!) years the tape seams started pealing of.
I love the fact that it fitted in a quiver, but sometimes the long transport size is not always handy.
Bought myself in 2018 a V2 Broly with infill wich I use for overnighters and daysessions.
Great piece of kit.
Never been keen on umbrella style brollies, because of the weight and not very sturdy.
But the dislike also stems from the 80 and 90's when we only had those horrible green wavelock Nubrolli umbrella's

Do yourself a favour mate and get the V2 or something along them lines. I used to have a brolly systems for 18 years for day sessions and got the v2 last year. beats a brolly system in every way. If your taller you can peg the front closer to give a bit of extra height.

The korum brolley is fantastic, it's perfect for a day session or light overnighter. I really wouldn't dismiss it.

I have been in the same quandary for the past few years. I've tried a few....
Fast and light brolly is good but too heavy, tempest brolly is more like a bivvy and doesn't give a panoramic view onto a lake like a brolly does, Nash groundhog brolly is good and lightweight...but still just a brolly, the Korum offerings are a faff to put up and look weird. The wychwood tactical brolly looks promising, just waiting for the teething problems to be ironed out. The new Fox Evo compact also looked promising, but seems to have been discontinued.

I had a pentalie korum got rid also got a supalite took it back I don't like korum shelter but only my opinion as you say weird shapes and a faff putting them up

I'm hoping next year there will be more options. Think in a previous thread someone said esp are bringing out a new brolly and 90% of them all seem out of stock anyhow (guess it down to lack of production in china with everything that's been going on). I do have a jrc 2g blox brolly which i got last year free when i ordered my new delkims. Never used it but it may be an option for now. The wychwood ones also so look good.

An old mark 1 tempest brolly for me. Side wings and mud skirt cut out.
No poles required. 4.2 kilo.
Try to avoid taking it for days unless lots of rain is due.
Recently I have managed to keep the rain of by using a large sheet of plywood as there's plenty kicking around my lake. The venue is quite sheltered so it's easy to rig up against a back fence or vegetation.

I would love to not take a brolly but the weather forecast are useless if I hadn't taken my brolly I would have got wet about 8 times this season they say rain at 6pm and rains at 11am etc

had a tempest brolly , but being 6'4" and having a dodgy back, was an absolute nightmare. flogged it..... now use a sonik axs brolly, much taller , lighter and stacks of room ..

Nice to hear that.
There are some mixed reviews about the AXS, one of them that the poles are flimsey.
Nor problems for you?
The price for the AXS brolly is very good, a 130 pounds i guess.
