All things going well I will shortly be looking at getting some rods made by Vic.
His website still has the XR36 Daiwa blanks as a build option, seem to remember JR selling an off the shelf version of these?
The blurb is that they can chuck a rig miles yet still play a fish. Obviously there will always be a compromise between these two things, had any experience with the blanks? Looks like he only builds a 12ft 3.6oz.
Current rods for comparison are original NG 3lb SU. Currently on a 150 acre lake and could do with a bit more distance.

Thanks mate, I'll try and find him. The other options are the aviators or torrix TE but always tend to like something a bit different to the norm.

Not had the xr36 but do have bankside tackle built 3.25tc and tackle fanatics built 3.5tc infinities but neither available anymore ! You cant go wrong with infinity blank imo.
