I'm using kryston merlin and really struggling tying rigs for my solid bags with it! It splits and even tying a simple overhand knot can be hard work!

Which would you guys recommend? it will mainly for solid bag rigs!

Using solid or mesh bags, for small hooks and small baits I use Korda Supernatural. For most situations I use Korda Dark Matter. Got some old merlin in my box. Never had a problem using it but wetting it should help.

Solid bags it's more the rig tying I'm struggling with, wetting will help I'm sure but it doesn't feel very tightly woven if that makes sense I wondered if the others were before I spend again haha

The 2 Korda braids will tie up no problem. Merlin does have a loose weave.

It's a proper braid so it is of an open weave structure that's what makes it so supple

Little lick and it's good to go

Wet the end before you go through the hook eye or loop of any knot.

I've used Kryston Merlin for years, braided hook links, and as part of a Combi-rig to Amnesia.
Brilliant stuff.

I only hope it hasn't changed since Dave Chilton sold Kryston!
