Guys, i have a set of older nevs - no sensitivity adjustment etc.
Despite using heavy bobbins, i still get constant beeps in anything more than a gentle breeze.
I'm going to use matrix kompressors next time out to see if this helps, but does anyone have any other suggestions?

How about some MCF bike chains for your bobbins, stops sideways movement in the wind !

Spot on! Got the Mk2 alarms with no sensitivity control, use 3 mag wheels and the MCF chains an very rarely get false beeps

I changed over to cygnet pivot arms from bobbins
No false beeps anymore 👍

Fit a 2 magnet roller & make sure the magnet isn't over the reed switch when you have set your bobbin.

Put your bobbing in front of the alarm 👍
Used to put used tea bags in the first eye of my rod but obviously watch out for dropbacks.
