Looking to buy a baiting pole has anyone got any recommendations? Been looking at the Nash bushwhacker 15m Pole can buy more poles for further distance if needed which is good but not sure what the separate poles will be like putting together and taking apart with cold wet hands? Or the tackle box 18m telescopic One looks good the fact it's all one piece but thinking how stable is it and do the poles ever spin inside each other so when you try to tip it the spoon won't turn?

Any others I should be looking at? Not interested in a diy one rather buy something I know is decent

I would go away from the nash bushwhacker as quickly as you can, A lad on syndicate has one, it is to thin and flimsy, also when he uses it he has hardly any control of it. You watch him use it and it snakes across the water so badly, he sold it and bought the corus one, from what I've seen it's much much better

I've not had the corus but compared to my old AI pole the bushwhacker is miles better.

the float is a big improvement on the spoons holds more than enough bait and doesn't wobble around, the poles are interchangeable so you don't have to worry about which bit goes where and it's light very light!!

I've got 10 extra sections so 25 metres and it's been great admittedly my lake is quite enclosed and so I would imagine on an open water you may get some bend with a x wind but I wouldn't expect that at the standard 15 m range.

I've used it at full range 25m in calm conditions and it's a genuine game changer also brilliant on canals for placing near boats as an example.

I can't see what's not to like the ability to make it as long as you like is a game changer in my opinion, the ease of the inter changeable poles and the weight are all massive improvements

They're 1.5 meter sections , 10 poles is 15 meters

I had the tackle box 18m telescopic pole and liked it apart from you have to lock the sections just enough that they don't slip but not to tight that you can't retract it and quite often one or the other would happen. Also found the spoon wasn't very stable and you couldn't put it out, go round and check it was on the spot with out it tipping over.
Borrowed a friend's bushwhacker and have now sold my telescopic one and got the bushwhacker and 16 extensions. Yes their is a nack to using it but you soon learn how to maover it easily. The spoon is stable enough to be able to be left if needs be aswell. I don't regret making the change!

as ive said on other threads, just make your own!

i made them upwards of 40m for 26 quid including A spoon.

I parted with my bush whacker. Anything over 15 - 20 meters in anything less than mill pond conditions was hard work. Anything with a small breeze across the water and found it extremely difficult to manoeuvre into and exact position. Hopefully a decent company will copy it an make a better more manageable bit of kit . You also want to avoid getting any dirt or grit on the end of the sections. Can make it tricky slotting the sections together. Not really a problem with the telescopic tackle box pole . But as said there's a fine line between putting in tension in the sections to tight it's a ball ache shipping it back in. To loose and you won't turn over the spoon

Have the Tackle Box 12m pole, it's been great for me, you do have to twist the sections slightly once extended to get a better grip and try and keep it clean but excellent bit of kit.
