I've used esp stiff rigger in 0.53 for d rigs to great success. Haven't tried boom myself but I can't imagine it being stiffer than esps stuff

i have the boom in 35lb and it is extremely fiddly to tie any knots
i would go for something softer, maybe rigmarole camh2o

I use Korda boom with longshank German rigs and I've never lost a fish and have perfect hook holds every time.
Don't buy into the soft bs, look at it this way once the rig is sucked up you want it to be as hard as possible for it to eject ie a stiffer material whereas if you look at the underwater footage when they use softer materials especially with shorter shank hooks it will either catch on the way out or not but every time a stiffer material is used with a long shank it catches every time either when they are blowing out or try to and move then get hooked.
Look at Korda underwater 1 and it proves this yet people still haven't seen the true benefits of stiffer materials and longshank hooks.
At first I was like most I loved wide gape hooks but after watcher Korda underwater 1 and making the switch I've never had one hook pull in 15 years !!!! There has to be a reason.
Ofcourse sometimes you need a supple material but if I can I will always use stiffer materials and long shank hooks even for pop up/Ronnie/chod rig.

yes but we dont use baked baits so hook pulls are our daily nightmare.

Crimp it or use a simple knot such as a 1-2 turn half blood knot (blob it if worried about slippage but never had it slip at all) or if making a combi rig up , the Albright knot.

Ditto that - never had a hook pull?! Come on! No matter how good your rig and how good you are, it still happens to the best of us. .

Gardner do a mega flouro for a quarter of the price, I'd use the Korda boom I have bit of never use it again.
