I fish mainly for carp and have a range of rods including quiver, feeder and the usual carp set up with baitrunners and bite alarms but want to do some float fishing on occasion. The lakes I fish at are quite small, approximately 15 metres maximum from bank to bank and hold perch, roach, crucians and carp up to 24lb. Looking for a float rod that could cope with a fish that size. From the following what would be suitable:
TF gear compact commercial 10ft float rod. Line rating 4lb -8lb
Korum 13ft Glide Power float rod. Line rating 4lb - 12lb.
Korum Mk11 12ft barbel float rod. 1.7 tc. Line rating 8lb- 15lb. £49
Fox EOS Barbel specialist 13ft float rod. 1.5tc. Line rating 6lb - 10lb. £59.99

Any other suggestions welcomed.

id look for a 2nd hand drennan power waggler, or puddle chucker, or carp float, or tench float ... something like that.

drennan all the way have a look at the series 7 specimen or power waggler, not to expensive.

had a 17lb common on a shakespeare float rod when i was about 12 (a while ago now) managed to get it in but what a struggle!

Cheers for replies. No drennan's around so went for the Korum Glide Power float rod. Some good reviews about it and it's ability to land big fish.
I have to say I have a cheap Shimano Alivio BX 12ft match rod with 4lb line that I've caught 15lbers on so its more about playing the fish but the Korum will allow me a 6lb line so I can stop the shy carp running into the reed without fear of snapping the rod.

Bit lazy I know. But the main thing for me
Was it being 2 piece and went in my carp holdall
I then used pole winders for the float and end rig
Nice and quick to setup for a float bash while
Carping on buzzers.
