Wondering if you could give me some advice please.
Im looking for a decent stalking rod and reel come to think of it.
Im thinking i want the versatility of a 9 foot rod so i can cast out a bit but also fish in tight swims.
I had a search on the site and a few seem to like the Nash scope rods. Are the black ops worth the money?

Had an original Whychwood extricators in 9ft for past 4 to 5 years. Had fish to high 30s on it in some very tricky swims great little rods especially for the price 👍

I have got some ESP Stalker rods in 8ft 2.75lb, great for tight swims or stalking but limited to casting anything about 50yds really.
Another for the Wychwood Extricator original, fantastic little rod for the price.
Can personally recommend the Daiwa Powermesh Stalker 9ft 2.75

The Fox explorers are amazing rods! Got myself a couple for the canals and as a grab and go, they're unbelievably good! Recommend highly.
I got the 3lb tests I can still cast it around 90yds, and to play fish on is great fun

Seconded, I picked one up a few months ago and it's a cracking little rod, paired it with an Okuma Inception 6000 and it's a dream to use.

Hi all thanks for the replies, given me something to think about. Im also thinking of getting a 6ft for close in and a 9ft for a bit further out with a controller.
Any advice on 6ft would be appreciated. Would a shimano 5500 size be too big, ive got a spare that I could use or would a 4000 size be better?

Would be fine but unnecessarily big but saves spending the money on a smaller more suitable reel if you don't wanna waste money

Not sure why they rarely get recommended but I use 9ft freespirit CTX bank creepers, had some big fish on them too. They're cracking rods.
