Interested to know what mix people have had the most success on. Not fished bags much and when I do I've always been lazy and just crumbed up whatever bait I've had to hand. These are to be fished in isolation i.e. not over bait so all about the attraction. What are the 'must have' ingredients?

A little like sometimes a certain colour of hook bait gets more takes on one day compared to other colours, think the same regarding how visual the mix is in your bags.

Have a dark one, and a light one at least to try. A dark one with light bits, and visa versa.

Worlds your oyster

ive recently upped my bag fishing and seen a massive improvement in catch rates, now using the following.

sticky krill active mix
sticky krill pure krill powder
sticky krill pellets 4mm
hinders little gemz

I mixed 50/50 of the powders for the bottom of the bag.
mixed the sticky 4mm pellets with the hinders gemz so I get a solid fill.

before I cast it out I either inject CCmoore hot chorizo or a good amount of hemp oil, all depends on water temps.

I've been trying a few different things over the last year or so and I've seemed to come onto a winning formula (for me and the lakes I fish at least)

Krill active mix
Krill pellet 2.3mm
Bloodworm pellet 2.3mm

And add a small bit of sticky krill cloudy liquid

Seems to be a deadly combo

This is what i do from late Autumn into early Spring.

I'm after 3 things, attraction, attraction, attraction. I want this little bag to practically bully the fish into having a go.

I have 3 colour's, Washed out Pink, White and Yellow.

I pick shelf life baits (shelf life =high attraction) in the above colour's , Mainline and Nash will cover all bases, a KG in each colour will see me through the winter, i go for sweet baits, like the Nash Citrus or Mainline Pineapple ect. I mill up each bag, not overly fine. Each colour has its own sandwich boxed size airtight container, at this point i add 2mm Dynamite sweet F1 pellets, nothing else.

These are my made up bag mixes, Pink, White and Yellow. When i make the bags up i use 3 different liquids, they MUST be the same colour as the dry mix and they MUST be water soluble (dont waste your time with oil) Inject the liquid into the bag a minimum of 30 minutes before you put them out.

I use the same colour hook baits in either a pop up or waffter, i chuck around a dozen of each into an airtight pot and add drops of Betain or the Essential Baits Thaumatin bait spray over a few weeks.

I put out a bag of each colour, these absolutely scream attaction, if Yellow goes off first i'll change the White to Yellow, If White or Pink go first i'll swap the Yellow

If Orange or Red baits have worked on your water through the season make a Red or Orange mix as per above.
