Looking to replace knackered elastic on Indulgence Wideboy.....what size 4mm 6mm or 8mm? how long, dont wanna buy 100m if 50 would do...Any ideas guys?

I did mine with 9mm paracord, from memory I bought a 30 metre spool and I'd guess I only used about a third of it, if that.

On the first non lumber levelite i had i originally bought 9mm paracord only to find it would fit through the loops in the material but not through the holes in the bedchair frame which it also had to go through these were 8mm, so ended up buying some 7mm that worked fine. I also used the 7mm on other bedchairs with no issues at all.

I doubled 4 mm on my old fox bed. Can't remember how much I used but it weren't a lot. Just remove/measure what you have and take a guess

i ordered 20m of 6mm cord to do mine. Probably could have got by with 10m, but it was only cheap

bit late on this one but heavy duty cable ties work very well and reduce weight of bed slightly

9mm paracord from army surplus shops. Been using it for at least 15 years to firm up bedchairs that used elasticated cord. £10 for enough to do at least 2 full sized bedchairs (10m from memory)

9mm goes through fine if you burn the end of the cord first to stop fraying. I always cut it at a sharp angle as well which makes things easier still.
