PVC in general are easier to put on and colder when wearing for a long time. Neoprene are better in regards to warmth but can be a nightmare to put on in a hurry.

I used a pair of ultra budget chest waders for a couple of years, as long as they're water tight I don't know what more expensive brands would offer. I'm open to hearing others opinions on this also

Daiwa Lightweight Chest Waders

Light although I find material isn't rigid enough to leave rolled down for stepping into when you have a fish.

More expensive brands offer nothing. Have a Vass now, but would trade it for my old budget one in a heartbeat.

Got some cheap ones off amazon that I keep in the van for emergencies, they're not the best but they do the job 👍

I've had a pair of these for 10yrs and they're still going strong - use them sporadically (mainly France) but they are pretty tough and are easy to get on and off in a panic . . .wouldn't want to sit in them all day (eg. swim with rods in water) as they are pretty sweaty but for average carpy use they are fine . . .

For durability then Liverpool Waders “Fishfarm Pro” are superb. They're not the lightest but they'll handle the abuse, mine have done countless proper work parties and stood upto it. Around £70.

Ron Thompson for decent cheap waders.

Daiwa are crap and will just manage a season or two.

For a decent set that will last decade use fishingwaders.co.uk around the £80 mark with cleats well worth it the UK water sector use them over anything else.

I've had mine 7 years and within the first week a pal feel through boards whilst trying them out, put a hole in the knee and I've not bothered repairing them a slight wet knee is hardly a worry absolutely superb imho.

These are the most comfortable and easily thrown on waders I've had the material regardless of temperature remains soft strong and durable one of the few products I'd replace like for like in an instance.

Mine were dead in 6months but I was abusing them a bit with a climb in and out of the river.

I've got some heavy vass ones that are taking the abuse so far
