I'm thinking of adding some Velcro to my groundsheet and bivvy hem but not sure if it will damage the groundsheet/bivvy hem....Any advice guys?

. . .without being rude can I ask why you need to do this exactly . .? I rarely use a gsheet but when I do I never peg it down and position it in 'loose' on top of and above the bivvy flaps . . the weight of the bedchair and other luggage means it wont move / go anywhere . . .
Cant imagine velcro at gsheet level will last long as it will get filled with dirt / crap / boiliee crumb eventually and stop working. Personally if you're insistent I'd speak with Andy Army and get him to do it . . .good luck!

Does your groundsheet perfectly fit your bivvy? A lot of bivvies come with groundsheet and use Velcro but I 've always the groundsheet never perfectly fits so the Velcro never matches up perfectly anyway.
Those are stitched in so there's your answer stitch them in, personally I wouldn't bother

Mine has velco attached, which it came with.
Its quite a good fit, but I wouldnt say its essential or offers me much beyond one without the VELCO.
For what its going to cost you, I'd pick a few Kg of bait up instead and enjoy your fishing

The groundsheet fits particularly well but thought the Velcro might help with keeping rodents out as the groundsheet only has clips to secure it down.

Rodents would just chew their way through anyway, with clips or velcro. They seem to be smart enough to know they will need a quick exit

Just get some rat traps. Much cheaper.
