Hi guys just getting back to carp fishing after a long break ive got all my old gear but did sell a few bits including my carbon mps defiant rod pod,
So my question is what rod pod would you recommend for ease of setting up and sturdyness?

Depends mate I guess on if you actually need one or not or a pair of bars instead?? I've got the fox plus one cheap/light/compact

I do most of my fishing from on chipped swims so works. But it does hinder me a bit when fishing the near side margins. Where a set of bars would be better. My sessions are so limited I have everything setup and buying another set the Mrs would kill me.

Don't go diving in...

Just got a cygnet compact pod works great with the short sticks and goalpost bars

If you want the “all bells and whistles” rod pod, the Solar is an option. But as you're getting back into it, like me, I've gone for the NGT XRP. Sturdy and great value for money at £45 on eBay

MPS Ti Panther, use as sticks or pod. Most versatile I have, Solar WWP but you need to carry extra sticks to fish off to one side.
