I have a waverunner mk3, that doesn't switch on. I'm guessing it's the power switch that's gone and needs replacing. I'm thinking of doing this myself as I'm off to France in a few weeks and don't think I can risk sending it away and getting it back in time.

Has anyone done this before and can give me any tips?

I would check the fuse first to see if it hasn't blown

Mine went a few years ago when in France,didn't have a spare fuse so just used a small piece of tin foil to bridge between the two fuse pins 👍

If you haven't got a multimeter, then use a bulb and some wire to check the power.
Start at the battery, make sure it's charged and work from there, just be methodical and work through the circuit.

Hi I'm an engineer and bought one as a project to do over the winter one year
Spent that much on it and that much time that it would have been cheaper to buy a very good second hand one
Rewired it all and redid all the clips. Replaced 2 pumps etc
Was so careful splitting it and cleaning it and putting it back together
Then spent a couple of hours talking to someone who advertised wanting second hand boats
He told be he splits a waverunner in about 20 minutes - I took nearly 2 nights
Would recommend having a quick try at fixing it and then speak to someone who does it for a living
