Why 9 years ago did I never use heli rigs on tubing ?

Lots of rules have changed I'm finding and I do like a heli rig is there a reason for not using on tubing

Should be good, I think the heli rig was used before leadcore, I can remember using it on tubing

I'm guessing you've already taken this into account but if you are going to use a heli rig on tubing you must be 100% sure that the additions thickness of the tubing doesn't stop the top bead from being able to eject on a crack off. Especially if the bead is designed for a thin diameter leadcore, it might be jammed on way to tight if used on tubing.

Not trying to teach you how to suck eggs, it's just you asked for a reason why you might not have done it in the past so I thought I'd chip in.

I'm not sure any bead but an open one like the Korda safety ones would slide off reliably with the friction of the tubing? Even Korda themselves couldn't figure out a way to do it safely so took their kit off the market
