Having sold my Flatliter (after realising that there is nothing light about it!) I am looking at either of these bedchairs. The Wychwood is slightly cheaper, but also slightly heavier (compact version) but it appeals to me as it has the generic lumbar support layout, whereas the superlite has done with just a rope mid section.
I really do need the form lumbar support aspect of a bed as I have a terrible back issue (like many of us long term carp anglers it seems)but also the comfort and lightness.
Any opinions, experience or advice is much appreciated. Cheers 👍

Ive not had the tactical but if it's the rlx superlite I had one very comfortable on my back but when folding on a move I broke the top section bar completely my own fault so the advice I would give is just be gentle when folding it down other than that a very comfortable bed

I had a rlx super light, was ok for a bit.. Went way too saggy, actual mattress was saggy no matter how tight the ropes and elastics.. Give me back and shoulder ache... Just got a fox dura light.... Only very slightly heavier, but really comfy for a light bed, no more back or shoulder pain and has extended lumbar support and spring loaded legs which are a nice touch... Also it is a sensible height, far superior to any trakker or wychwood imo

I have a Trakker ELS that I love as I never have any back problems with it but as I now fish mostly rivers its to big to fit under my 50" Brolly
and now in my mid 70s I am starting to find things are getting heavier ? So I bought a Compact Wychwood Tactical X bed and its just like sleeping on my ELS love it !
apart from one very important difference like all compact beds the legs are shorter and so its low just something to be aware of

Ive switched from the flatliter (comfy, but i didnt get on with the sleepsystem....) to a Sonik levelbed (cheap, but heavy) and landed at the tactical X compact. I use it with a SIM (as i did on the previous 2 beds) and find it really comfortable, and very happy with the purchase.
Only slight reservation is the build quality - id happily pay double for the same performance but with better quality leg fittings etc... it looks like it will show signs of wear pretty quickly but it ticks the boxes for comfort, size and weight so overall i

Had the wychwood if you want a firm bed then that one although it was to firm for me,now using the trakker superlite not as firm so suits me

Ive had both the bedchairs you are asking about, My normal bedchair is a levelite lumbar support which i changed to from an old style levelite.
I wanted a lighter smaller bedchair for quick overnight sessions, having used a bedchair with lumbar support and really liking it i bought a compact version of the wychwood tactical x bed, i found this way to firm and uncomfy it was like sleeping on a block of wood compared to my lumbar support levelite.
I sold it on and bought the flat 6 superlite bed, i really like this bed and for me it is far comfier than the wychwood bed also the padding over the frame is better on the trakker bed, i realise everyone has different preferences and needs and not everyones opinions will be the same.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I think that I will go for the Superlite and get a self inflating mattress for it.
A friend threw another one into the mix. The new Avid benchmark Lite, but I don't think that it is available yet.

Another vote for the RLX superlite... changed from an old style JRC x-lite and really happy with it. Legs aren't the longest so you're not blessed with endless scope for adjustment, but overall it's excellent and I find it much better for my dodgy back 👍🏻

Good choice trakker far better all round my mates got the superlite loves it I had the wychwood and now have a trakker rlx Wychwood are cheap and nasty in comparison

I have both also. RLX is the nicer bed all round imo and incredibly light for its size but i prefer the compact size of the Wychwood
