Hi all, I have just bought Fox Exocet mono to put on my new reels. Mainly as I was hoping it would help me to achieve a longer cast. A mate said he used it and it was highly susceptible to line twist and he threw it away. I know a few things can contribute to line twist but I thought I'd ask, has anyone else had any problems with it? Or has anyone used it and found it to be great?!

I found it broke very easily. Too easily, lost 2 fish because of it. Only stayed on the reels for that one day session! Avoid it.

Line cannot twist by itself mate. Its the way it's used that twists line

Yes good call, I'd go so far as to say loading is a primary cause.

Thanks for the other replies. Yeah that's what I thought. Also pulling line off the spool using the drag, or letting the fish take too much off on a bait runner.

I preferred the Fox Soft Steel, which I originally used then after buying the Exocet, realised it was less user friendly, IMO.
Love the Soft Steel though, not had one issue with it. And it's cheaper than the Exocet
