I've been using these as my main hook for most rigs for years but now our syndicate has decided to ban them!

What would you use now? I had so much confidence in them

Would they allow the esp trighammer hooks

Could use a wide gape with a large shrink tube extension

Doubt it as they say longshank on the packet

The rules just state no longshank or bent hooks

As said before use a long piece of tubing 👍

What wide gapes would you use? not used them for years. Used to use the talon tips many years ago but not sure they make them anymore.

The annoying part is that I was using longshanks on my ronnie tigs and was getting really good hook holds

Nash fang twisters were good but I thought they had also been discontinued too

You can extend any standard straight shank hook by adding shrink tube over the shank and eye.

Even better if you line align it😉

Solar 101's are my standard straight shank hook
