Hello all .....

To anyone who has actually done this, can you recommend a way to connect a Deeper Pro to a Lake Reaper boat. Not interested in frequency issues but the physical connection between the two.

What sort of attachment did you use?
Was the Deeper mounted fore or aft (front and back to you landlubbers)?

How does it perform?

Look on eBay you can buy deeper attachments that stick to the boat to mount the deeper on

I am well aware of various attachments that are available but have you actually done it yourself?

I know I can buy Deeper attachments but was wondering more the effectiveness of such an attachment. Whether those mounts work well or do they put the boat out of balance. Whether pulling or pushing the Deeper is the better option.

These are questions that anyone who has tried it may be able shed light on.

I don't use a deeper but I attach a lucky yellow sensor to the rear of mine on the RH side of the back of the hull,I looked at horrison fish finder's and simply copied there holder from a ABS box , I mount it via Velcro from horrison and it makes no difference whatsoever to how the boat handles you just have to work out how low to mount it so it makes electrical contact via the 2 pins underneath
I've looked at those listed on eBay and they look fine to me to mount on the rear, they even adjust hight wise which is better than mine being perminatly fixed height wise, the reason I've attached mine to the side and not the middle is that if the line tightens it could tangle around the sensor
