After new bed chair/sleep system .really don't get on with fleece sleeping bags hate the way fleece seems to make any clothing bunch up .had terrible nights kip last night so any suggestions,nothing to big as use fox compact bivvy most of the time

For me personally the best I've owned is the Solar SP Tec sleep system. The bed is very firm and comfortable for me, and the bag is very warm with no fleece lining.

Downsides are I find it a little heavy and it's definitely bigger than the Nash Indulgence it replaced so not as compact, but I find i get a way better sleep on it.

are there any sleep systems where you don't sleep directly on the mattress, I like something underneath me.

not really, I wouldnt sleep direct on a mattress at home, I'm not 100% sure but it might be the solar sp one has a liner over the top of the matress.

Forget the system and just buy a bed chair and a separate bag

I wouldn't sleep in all my clothes with a head torch or wooly hat on at home either

The sp tec has a layer underneath you, a layer on top of you and then a waterproof thermal layer over that.
