Has anyone got any opinions to share regarding any of these three 6ft stalking rods:

Have a look at the Rod Hutchinson 6' Compact. I've really abused one several times and it's proved brilliant.

I own the Wychwood and it's ok..but not great. Had a 38 common on it and the whole rod bent double and the handle was flexing under the reel seat. Little bit under gunned I recon.

I've got the scope 6' sawn off in 3lb, use it for floater fishing, had carp to 28lb on it no problem, same as smaller fish, still quite forgiving. Also use it for piking with plugs while the carp are hiding. Handy little rod.

I use a couple of wychwoods for pike from the kayak and they are ok. As #6 says they bend a bit but I like that. Can lob lives on them And they have taken all sorts of abuse without damage while my mate has snapped two sawn offs.

I do lots of stalking and use a 9ft Whychwood Extricated never felt I needed anything shorter even in the tightest swims. Plenty of backbone in it too had fish to 35lb on it and never felt it was under gunned.

I've actually had a slight re-think and decided to purchase a Nash Dwarf cork handle 9ft 2.75lb.
Will double up as an occasional stalking rod for me and as a short range carping rod rod for my 6 year old boy if he fancies a change from tiddler bashing on his telescopic whip.
