Hi all.

I'm looking for a mid range set of bite alarms. Ideally 3 alarms with a receiver

I have been looking at the sonik gizmo alarms and reciever at around £200 - anyone used these? Or what have you found good for around that same price

Gardner atts alarms are good for the money brand new. I wouldnt buy to cheap as the receiver wont be any good tbh. Try ebay aswell people sell 2nd hand delks cheapish.

You can get 3 and reciever for about £230 online. Bullet proof alarms and really good for the money i dont think you can beat them at that price range. Receiver is good aswell

Or just spend abit more money and get some delk txis. I know they are more money but i have had mine for 10 years now and still goin strong. Never had a problem with them

For that money I'd second the ATT's. Reliable and foolproof with the best receiver in that price range.
Even though I have gone back to the New Delkims, I still have a set of ATT's with a deluxe receiver which my kids use.

In your budget you can get brand new set of nash siren s5r which are fantastic alarms and will be probably the best you can buy new within budget. Second hand there are loads of options, a little more will get you a set of delks if you are patient, you could get atts as mentioned but they are marmite, personally hated them and got shot pretty quickly, although they do have quite a following for some reason

If I was after a cheaper set of alarms I'd go for the JRC Radar CX.

I also had a set of ATTS for a bit and wasn't a fan, worst alarms I had for false beeps.

Recommend the atts.. what's not to like about them 🤷🏻‍♂️ does what it says on the tin, nothing else..
Good shout about the JRC alarms, mate had the top end set but I believe all the range look similar.

there are a few things that I think are essential in an alarm these days and they have ALL 6 plus lots more
1 sensitivity adjustment
2 decent battery life
3 waterproof
4 night marker
5 adjustable volume
6 good receiver range

Probably made by a CEM in the UK or Europe as volumes probably not big enough to do in Asia.

Agree - who cares everyone has their costs.

JRC Radar CX alarms heads fine receiver absolute pants. Cheap though would not call them mid range

I use a set for my river fishing and I found the range on the receiver is truly amazing ? what have you found wrong with it ?
