Hi chaps I'm looking for some recommendations on reels slightly smaller than the fx9s.
Got a pair but finding them a bit too big on my 10ft rods.
Only fishing small waters for low doubles Max 50yards.
Are the 5000 Baitrunners smaller?

I have both FX9's and 5000 Baitrunners and the baitrunners are smaller ... ive had similar dilemma lately as find mini pits too big for 10ft rods and Diawa GS4000 or Okuma Inceptions came recommended as something smaller version than the FX9

Yes been looking at Baitrunners.
Probably going to get the basic 6000 st.
Looked at the Daiwa's but that color is an instant no for me I'm afraid
Might keep one of the fx9 for my 12ft rod.
Only done match fishing in the past so can't get used to the size of the mini big pots.
Think the Baitrunners would be a nice size for the 10ft

Not sure if you are aware but 6000 Shimano Baitrunners are no smaller than 8000 or 10,000 size baitrunners and therefore bigger than 5000

Have got daiwa theory sp 4000a on my 9 foot scopes. Think they're quality little reels although now discounted.
