Whats peoples clubs being like regarding renewal
Mine has been brilliant ... Ive already paid but they have said people can to a break and pay when things return to normal so they dont lose their membership .. The club has a waiting list but they are doing all they can to support those struggling

All my venues are closed at the moment, one in close season and the other two fishing banned until the current lockdown is over.
My syndicate is in its close season and doesn't open until 15th April anyway (although in reality it will be a lot later than that). They haven't changed the renewal date (we had to pay by 1st April) nor said anything about what will happen if we're still on lock down when it opens.
Club No 1 also has to be renewed 1st April and has cost me £25 more as the work party that was scheduled for tomorrow has been cancelled so I'll have to pay a non-attendance fee.
Club 2 doesn't renew until 16th June, they have cancelled all their work parties up to that date and said they'll waive the work party non-attendance fee this year.
I've renewed the first two today at a cost of £650 which is a bit much when I don't even know if I'll be going this year. However as there's no chance of getting either ticket back if I drop them there's not a lot I can do.
Fingers crossed things improve while there's still some of the summer left.

I'm pretty much in the same boat. But all our work parties are cancelled so I don't think they charge an opt out fee. My guess is they will just do the work parties later in the year instead.

Amazingly a syndicate I used to belong to that was more a private lake run by the owner has sent an message out (im still on the list somehow) saying peeps could do 3 options as he still had to feed the fish etc or they would lose weight
Thats the issue with some waters that the volume and size of fish in 3 acres cannot sustain itself ... Hopefully when we come out the a*se end of this perhaps anglers will realise that its nit about the trophy shot but the simple pleasure of being there
I can see quite a few fisheries go bust which will be a shame but I would guess its those that are overstocked holes

Agree wholeheartedly with you,I'm the same,its all about just being out there,enjoying the different weather patterns,and the flow of nature,all around...
Its the greatest thing...
Its also something i never ever take for granted, because nature can and will kick back...,man takes more than gives..!!

My club are still wanting renewals as normal (15th May is cut off)
They have said due to the disruption they will either extend the season or may knock a bit off next years ticket if this disruption is on for a significant period
So at the moment our club is renew or lose. With nearly 500 people on the waiting list they will have no issues filling any gaps in the membership but you'd like to think they would try and help out existing members where possible

Unfortunately mine is end of Jan! Just after Xmas (cheers) but the season there runs from start of April.

Mine was start of March , but is a syndicate in the true sense of the word, only 10 members whom lease the water we pay enough each to cover the rent, maintanance of water, additional feed and have a bit left over for whatever is needed....no one makes a profit ...therefore if we didn't pay on time, we couldn't pay the lease.......we will take on extra members if there the right sort of person and come recommend from existing members but we are all happy to keep it as the current 10, it is kept very low key so not many people know about it

and 2. no nut baits...

My club fee is due by today but is obviously closed (although the two bailiffs were fishing it last week) and they want the full price now £350 and the season won't be extended so a few of us were discussing today what to do...

I've paid a substantial amount for my ticket, I would love to think the renewal will be pushed forward next year, by however long this shutdown lasts.....well I can wish!

I paid a fare chunk to renew my syndicate membership, being as the trustees only lease the lake I wouldn't expect an extended years membership or part refund. The yearly lease fees still need to be paid regardless, I've paid for 12 months from March, and if we don't get on there until May or June etc so be it.
Just my take on this.
