Braids snapping when I'm spodding. It's snapping what seems to be from the power of the cast happened with both my spomb and marker float/lead set up and I'm also using a 50lb spod leader. Not sure why this is happening...

You need at least half a dozen turns of leader on the reel when you cast. 2m not enough

Check your rings on your rod,might have a broken ceramic

Pretty much bran new spomb rod. I put it down to maybe being a cheaper spod reel wychwood with preloaded braid

It might be as well. Cause its large using 50lb.
I use a 20lb braid with 30lb shockleader with a 5 turn water knot. I lauch my chirp pro+ as well as a spomb with no worries.

Around a Rod Length and a half long with between 4 and 6 turns also on the reel

I'll give it a once over just to be sure.

I've had no problems chucking around the deeper but never really put any effort into it as I don't use it on larger waters. It's mainly launching the others that's caused the problems.

The 50 lb you're using is fine imo.

Edit: Sorry.... thought you were the OP. Any half decent braid around the 50 lb mark is fine mate.
