I gather that France is just about to ban recreational fishing till the coronavirus pandemic is over. Anyone else confirm this?

I don´t think that recreation fishing has been banned or lakes forced to close, my understanding is that people are not allowed to travel on non essential trips, so if e.g. anglers arrive at Calais they will not be allowed to travel from there to the venues that they have booked. Obviously most if not all of the commercial fisheries will not be open for the foreseeable future. My old venue has announced it is shut from today.
