Looking at changing transport, anybody use a l200 or equiv merc / ford for fishing ?

Any for's / against's regarding transporting tackle ?

Do 12's or 13's fit in the hard shell on the rear ?

I get the plus or minus re 4x4, fuel, driving etc, just the carrying and loading / unloading tackle am interested in.

Walk around the bed of one and see how much of it you can reach into to retrieve and load your kit, a hardtop will restrict you further.

I'm thinking of changing my motor but looking at getting the merc Vito as it will be more versatile 👍

Took my holdall to ford dealership recently and couldn't fit it in the back of a Ranger. Only way I could see to do it was to buy one with hard top with rails fitted, then put a long roof box on for holdall, bivvy. Rest would fit in back then. Ended up buying SUV instead. As to much hassle to take off and store top box when not needed.

Had a Ranger and an L200, far prefer my Zafira for fishing

I looked at the new Vito Phil, very impressed with the drive and the sound dampening was very good on the motorway.
Only thing was 5 grand more than my T6 or I would have bought one

Very true mark I'm still not 100% sure I'll get one as the interior is a bit dated I think they need the interior of the v class in the Vito
