I noticed today that Trakker have bought out yet another version of the tempest, aimed at anglers fishing overnighters/using a bedchair. I don't understand why these tackle firms aren't seeing the need for a small sized shelter, for those of us that can only fish short days. The only options really available are flimsy conventional brollies. I used to use a Trakker brolly v1 for days, but felt like bit of a nob sitting under it on a chair with minimal kit. Even my fast and light brolly feels a bit OTT.
If Nash, Fox, Trakker etc bought out a small shelter just to fit a low chair under, it'd sell like hot cakes! Imagine a tempest or Titan, with and open front and the size of say a 50” brolly, it'd be spot on.
I can't be the only one who craves a shelter like this!?!

dont think you have looked very far mate ??
Korum have 6 different ones designed exactly for that purpose
then you have the new Wychwood ones
and a Fox Easy shelter
or a Quest pop up shelter just to name a few

I've checked all of these out. The Korum shelters look really flimsy, basically utilising fibre glass poles that you'll find on a Aldi tent, as does the Fox easy-shelter, which is basically a small bivvy again. And the new offerings from wychwood aren't small day shelters, with the brolly weighing in at 5kg. Again, these looking like they're aimed for use with bedchairs and overnighters.
Please enlighten me with any others I may have missed 👍

mate clearly you are a bit strange
god knows how many Day anglers are using Korum shelters with zero issues and I have used the Fox Easy shelter both for days and itsd perfection ! and used it for a few overnight session too
and how the **** do you think match anglers survive fishin all day matches in the rain

There are literally hundreds of various shelters available to cover all bases. If you can't find what you are exactly looking for then I'm afraid you'll never be happy with anything

Korum day shelter Mk2 think I had , was solid
Wish I never gave it away as I'd use it now on overcast/ rainy day sessions

I use a fast and light for day sessions. It's perfect. Gives enough cover for me on a chair and all my luggage, plus room enough to make a brew if it's lashing down. It weighs very little and goes up I'm about a minute. I can't really see what else you need a day shelter to do?

I've seen enough geezers tip up at lakes and erect full sized bivvies for a day session not to bother what people think if I am sat under a Trakker V2 or Wychwood MHR.
I don't think the blokes in full sized bivvies are knobs, until they start hammering pegs in or shouting across the lake to their mates.
Or twiddling with their alarms.
Or spombing the crap out of the swim next to me.
Or casting over my lines.
Or listening to their radios too loud.
I'm fairly easy going me.

Short session shelter?
I still use an Oval brolly for my day trips. It has storm sides, so I keep sheltered on overnighters, and I have not found it flimsy, as long as I don't set it up facing into a wind coming into my face. Not a problem finding or positioning it at an angle in most swims.
I do do a lot of fishing, summer and winter, for carp and pike, so if the weather is wet and windy it does get used.
I'm loathe to spend silly money on items I don't need, and still find a brolly and overwrap the best setup for me.

Totally agree mate. That's why I'm back to the fast and light. 20 years ago an oval was all you needed, for day sessions or a week in France! I just think it's odd that after all of this time, this part of the market hasn't been bought up to date by the big players. A modern take on an oval will be 👌.
