Can anyone please tell me whether the northern specials minis are buoyant enough to use Zig fishing , thanks ?

I haven't found them to be, but i do use fairly big hooks with zigs

I use whittled down proper jobs instead

If you cant use foam then 100% go for proper jobs. The NS mini's are ideal for PVA bags or topping smaller baits.

He was using a size 10 though. No good on my syndicate as minimum hook size of 6!

On the latest CC Moore video about zigs,they show two of the minis being used

Does anyone use the minis in PVA bags? Please share your experience.
I assume that Blow out tube rig is optimal. What hooks do you use?

I use the mini's in PVA bags. They work a treat with a size 5 Fox wide gape hook. Just hovers slightly. Had fish up to 33lbs using them.

In my experience, they aren't (not with a size 8 zig hook anyway).

Pitchers will say they are because they sponsor him.

Just use a bit of foam. Works just as well, if not better and takes the doubt away
